I am chair and co-founder of My Mito Mission, a UK charity powering awareness, support and research for mitochondrial disease, a genetic illness that can be debilitating and life-limiting. My daughter Emma had mito and helped me set up the charity before she died aged 28. I'm passionate about raising awareness for mito, but also how mitochondrial research can help everyone. Mitochondria are known to be the key to health, and my aim is to educate the public, and fund and encourage more research.
